Balancing family life with productivity demands at work is a daily challenge. Since work is one of the main aspects of life, what happens in the workplace can greatly affect employees’ mental health and motivation.
To address this, PT Transcon Indonesia held a seminar titled “Psychology at Work 2022”, aimed at optimizing mental well-being and motivation in the workplace.
The event was held online via Google Meet on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 12:00 to 13:15, under the theme "Managing Mental Health and Well-Being in the Workplace".
The objectives of the seminar included:
-
Understanding positive psychology and how to implement it in the company
-
Equipping employees with practical psychological concepts they can apply
-
Providing insights into conflict resolution among coworkers
-
Sharing motivational techniques and their application at work
A successful company must always prioritize employee productivity, which depends on strong motivation and a healthy mindset. That’s where psychology plays a key role in shaping character and behavior. TCI recognized this need and initiated the seminar.
The speaker, Ms. Fakhirah I, S.Psi., M.A., delivered the material in a highly engaging and interactive way, receiving great responses from the participants.
During the Q&A session, a participant asked about the necessity of healing in maintaining psychological well-being. Ms. Fakhirah responded that healing depends on individual needs. It is not something to be avoided—in fact, it’s a valid way to appreciate oneself after working hard. When someone feels physically and mentally exhausted, what they truly need is rest.
Another question focused on how to deal with the challenges of daily life. One participant said that adulthood feels exhausting because of constant pressure from various aspects—family, work, social life, and more.
Ms. Fakhirah admitted that the question was heavy and required deeper context to fully answer. However, she praised the participant’s openness and resilience, emphasizing that we can’t control others, but we can always strengthen ourselves.
The 75-minute seminar concluded with a summary presented by the person-in-charge (PIC). The event was highly successful, with participants showing commitment and awareness of the importance of creating an ideal and mentally supportive work environment.
