PT Transcon Indonesia participated as a sponsor of the International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition (IIGCE) 2022 to support the realization of national energy independence.
Held from September 14–16, 2022, the event took place at the Jakarta Convention Center, under the theme:
"Geothermal: The Sustainable Energy for Green Recovery, Energy Transition, and Security"—a key step by the government to consistently realize clean and renewable energy.
Transcon Indonesia Supports Renewable Energy Through IIGCE 2022
Geothermal energy is considered one of the clean energy sources capable of meeting national electricity needs. Through IIGCE 2022, the government and On Us Asia are working toward the development of geothermal resources.
This effort requires collaboration across sectors to take strategic and sustainable steps. Aligned with the G20 Summit, IIGCE 2022 focused on ensuring long-term access to clean and secure energy.
The forum brought together key stakeholders including government officials, investors, service providers, experts, and academics—all working toward developing the geothermal industry.
PT Transcon Indonesia supports the government’s efforts to secure domestic energy supply independently, by acting as a sponsor and contributing to the promotion of geothermal renewable energy.
The IIGCE 2022 forum is seen as a crucial platform for guiding global energy policy discussions. Indonesia has significant geothermal potential to be transitioned into sustainable energy.
Moreover, developing environmentally friendly renewable energy helps reduce dependency on fossil fuels and minimize greenhouse gas emissions in the power generation sector.
If Indonesia successfully capitalizes on this opportunity, it has the potential to become a global leader in geothermal energy.
Through this scientific forum, IIGCE 2022 aimed to explore and unlock Indonesia’s geothermal potential.
PT Transcon Indonesia, along with the government and other collaborators, is committed to helping turn this vision into reality.
